Mobile phones to be used as concert ticket in Australia

A new kind of ticket, "Mobi-tickets" will be launched next month at The Metro Theatre in Sydney, Australia. Fans of Magic Dirt, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Frames and Killing Joke, will be able to receive their tickets on their mobile phone, as a picture message containing a bar-code that will then be scanned by the theatre. Those whose phone is not picture-messaging enabled will received a unique number instead. But what about scalpers? Will they have to infrared-beam you your ticket? (source)
