Number Portability: Sounds like business as usual at cell phone companies

According to my tests, either cell phone companies hired a bunch of new customer service representatives for this week or we just ain't seeing the number portability rush that was announced. I called a few cell phone companies around noon today and didn't wait much before talking to a customer representative: At Sprint PCS, I didn't wait at all, I waited just 4 minutes at T-Mobile, 6 minutes at AT&T Wireless and 8 minutes at Verizon Wireless. I almost never waited that little for any customer service in my whole life. So, ready to port today? Go ahead and call! It seems like operators are really standing by...
