Details on the HP PDA phone
Wednesday January 21, 2004
HP is going to manufacture a PDA phone and Smartphone.net has some details on that upcoming product. The HP iPAQ h6300 will have three special features: a Bluetooth connection (pretty rare on PDA phones); a removable full QWERTY keyboard (a good idea since it can make the iPAQ smaller when no keyboard is needed) and RIM's push email software, which will finally help BlackBerry addics jump in the new millenium and actually get a real PDA phone while still using push email. I hate to report on products that aren't yet available but I did for this one due to its interesting features, but I'll add the HP iPAQ h6300 to "WaporWatch", my list of potentially vaporware products that probably won't meet their promised release dates. In this case, the rumor calls for a June availability at T-Mobile. Ha ha... we'll see.
