Consumer Group Sues Cellular Companies For Blocking Handsets

The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights is suing AT&T Wireless Services, T-Mobile and Cingular for "locking" their phones to make it harder for customers to switch carriers. GSM simlock is an old practice and many vendors make a living selling "unlocked" phones or unlock solutions.
