Nokia N-Gage Launches Games To Distinguish From Competition

Wednesday November 24, 2004
It's no secret that, since inception, the Nokia N-Gage is seen by gamers as a not-so-gaming device, seeking its identity between the cell phone and the console. Last Thursday, I attended a N-Gage media event in Toronto for its two latest titles: Pathway to Glory and Pocket Kingdom, launched today. Pocket Kingdom, in particular, illustrates where N-Gage wants to be heading: it's a "Massively Multiplayer Game" where you create a flying kingdom and compete against others. But since the device is portable and wireless, you can stop at anytime and the game goes on without the need to be there all the time.
