BlackBerry Service In The U.S. Threatened

Thursday October 6, 2005
Research in Motion, the manufacturer of BlackBerry cell phones, is in a weak position since this week, after they lost their court appeal in a patent infrigement case against another company, NTP, the owner of some mobile email patents. Analyst say that service won't be disrupted for now but the company won't be able to sell BlackBerry devices anymore in the U.S. That issue doesn't apply anywhere else in the world as NTP's patents are only good for the United States.
