The Audiovox 6700: Good PDA, Ordinary Phone
Tuesday April 18, 2006
I must say I didn't have a very good experience with the UTStarcom 6700 (XV6700 at Verizon and PPC-6700 at Sprint). Find out why and what is still good about that phone in my hands-on review.

Wish I had read this review before purchasing. The phone side is terrible - worst I’ve ever had. The PDA side is hard to beat. Excellent internet speeds. Still I miss most calls so will have to dump this phone.
I hate this phone. I’ve never hated anything more in my entire life.
This phone is by far the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. Qwest should be ashamed of themselves for bringing this phone out as their first pda.
In general it SUCKS big time!!! Overall it SUCKS big time. I cannot get one Bluetooth headset to play/work/ get along decently with it!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!! But if you really want it drop me a line and I’ll sell you mine for a great price.
I purchased this phone 1/13/07…its pretty bad. I had an LG flip and I wish I’d gotten another flip. I don’t have a problem with the earpiece or speaker phone, but what I don’t like is that I can’t program data numbers. With this phone, you cannot dial pauses and so on and so forth that are used to call phone banking or credit card info among others. Also, the last number dialed is always displayed. Not much of a biggie, but I don’t like it nonetheless. Overall, I’d say don’t buy this…get something with far less hassles.
Had this phone for almost a year with Verizon…loved the features but as the other user correctly stated it poorly built. Had 3 replace units and a 4th on it way. If you take that stupid insurance with Verizon like I did they only send yoy refurbished phones with $50.00 deductable each instance.
Please do not buy this phone.
Dis fone is phreaking awesome yo! It be cool to use internets on it and phonez too!
Well, yeah, the phone bites. The speakerphone sound is tinny and crackly and dialing can be a drag. BUT using voice tags to dial is cool. The split calendar and task function irritated me so I added Agenda One. Having Excel and Word is awesome, the camera and video features, notes, transcriber–have you tried that? Amazing. are handy. I enabled voice tags to launch programs as well which is faster than icon searching. I couldn’t afford a laptop, and to have a computer, however limited, in the palm of my hand AND Internet access…wow. Guess I’m a fan.
I’ve already order this PDA… Looks like most don’t satisfied with this PDA’s specification… Is this PDA really bad ones to own and operate off course.. Oh dear, I’m already buy and order it by mail…. wish me luck then
