Newer phones and especially PDA phones can view AVI files. Some can even view Mpeg4.

Oh, I have managed transferring videos from my pc to my cellphone and vice versa. True for as long as these medias are compatible with each ( that would mean format compatiblity).
How about SOMEONE posting a step by step method for transfering video to cell phones. I have a samsung a740. I have managed to copy mp3’s via Windows Media Play, contact info via BitPim. But even on the samsung forums no where is there ‘this is exactly how you do it’ instructions.
When I try to transfer .3dp files via MP, it says MP can’t convert the file. In BitPim the format is not even recognized.
