Sprint Launches Pay-Per-View Movies For $4 to $6 Per Title

Wednesday September 6, 2006
A new service launches this week at Sprint: Pay-per-View movies. An upgrade to Sprint's previous movie offerings, which only offered a fixed selection. For a price varying between $3.99 and $5.99, users will be able to play, pause and resume a movie over a number of days. Currently available titles aren't the most recent ones (SpiderMan 2, Appolo 13...) but Sprint says they will continuously add new titles. Sprint claims to be the first to offer mobile Pay-per-View movies.
