Nokia Calls Its New Nokia N95 A "Multimedia Computer"

Tuesday September 26, 2006
Convergence -- the art of mixing entertainment, computing and mobile technology -- has been around for a while. But Nokia wants to be the front player in that field. They just announced two new Nseries devices today in New-York: The Nokia N95 and Nokia N75. Only the later will be available in North America (before year end) but the N95 has Nokia calling it "The Ultimate Multimedia Computer" with its:

The Nokia N95

  • 5-megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss optics and DVD quality video.
  • Practically every broadband protocol available, from WiFi to HSDPA (3.5G)
  • 2.6 inches QVGA TFT display
  • But the N95 is aimed at the overseas market. As usual, North-American users will have to settle for a less impressive device, yet exciting enough: The Nokia N75, also announced today.

    The Nokia N75

  • 2-megapixel camera with dedicated zoom keys and 15 frames per second video
  • 3D Stereo speakers
  • 2.4 inches, 240 x 320 pixels TFT display
  • More to come on these phones later today.
