Faster EV-DO (Revision A): Sprint Starts Today In San Diego

Tuesday October 24, 2006
Sprint starts offering Revision A EV-DO data to its San Diego customers today. Revision A boasts significantly faster upload speeds and slightly faster download speeds: 300-400 kbps upload (compared with 50-70 kbps of current EV-DO networks) and 450–800 kbps download, from 400-700 kbps. Sprint will add 20 more markets by the end of the year, including: Boston, Las Vegas, New York City, Washington, D.C.

Sprint says all of its data network (PowerVision) will be updated by the end of the third quarter next year. Consumers need a Revision A capable EV-DO data card to benefit from the upgrade.

I love this phone because it is great for kids. My kid is enjoying showing it to her friends. She takes it every where. To school, to the mall she even carries it around in the house. She is taking care of it like an adult. We love it.
