How Will Mobile TV... Transform TV?

Friday November 10, 2006
Nokia just released a study conducted on their demand by the London School of Economics on how mobile TV will transform the TV experience. No need to be a rocket scientist to understand that TV on cell phones will be the perfect time killer for people waiting in public transportation, doctor waiting rooms or queues, but how will these users want their TV? Dr. Orgad's study says:

- Shorter ad spots, around 5 seconds, while current TV spots are more in the 15 to 30 seconds format.
- Shorter episodes called "mobisodes", so you can watch them even in a hurry.
- More focus put on images, less talking
- Images will favor close shots over broader views, to offer more details on cell phones' tiny screens.
