Cingular Becomes AT&T From Monday On
To current subscribers, that won't make a difference: You will be able to keep your current service plan. But for Cingular / AT&T, is the name change a smart move? Some industry analysts think it is not wise to change a hip name like Cingular for an old dusty brand like AT&T while others believe the older name will appeal to older consumers, the fastest growing market for cell phones.
So what about you? Which Brand Would You Rather Choose For Cellular Service?

WHAT ABOUT THE $10 DISCOUNT NOW IN FORCE WITH BELLSOUTH
AT&T never “bought” Cingular. SBC (who already owned half of Cingular) bought AT&T and took the company’s name, then they bought BellSouth (who owned the other half of Cingular), hence AT&T now has 100% ownership of Cingular.
The point is a company called “AT&T” never purchased a company called “Cingular”. If anything, SBC bought everybody.
And Cingular’s logo is known as the “Jack” logo since it’s a little man. Not the “X” logo.
God, is it too much to ask whoever writes this blog know a *little* bit about what they are talking about?
