Sony Ericsson: A Cell Phone That Doubles As A Remote Control

Saturday March 3, 2007
Sony Ericsson is reportedly developping a simple system to make cell phones double as a remote control for your TV, DVD player and other devices. The idea is simple: users would download graphical remote controls that would appear on the phone's touch-screen. They would press buttons on the display and the phone's infrared port would operate the corresponding device. Convenient for those who, like me, always loose track of their remote control.
