Yahoo Will Offer Free Text Messages From Yahoo Mail

Tuesday August 28, 2007
Yahoo is transforming its popular email service into a live communication center. A few months ago, they added the possibility to exchange Instant Messages from within the email web page and now, they want to let you send and receive text messages for free.

This means that you will be able to almost seamlessly chat with your lover or friends from your PC. Other similar services already exist but given Yahoo's 254 million users (more than hotmail), this is a huge step forward for text messaging accessibility.
