Whiz Kid Found A Free iPhone Ringtones Hack

Friday September 7, 2007
Like many other cell phones, iPhone won't easily let you use your own music as a ringtone for free. You are off to buying ringtones from AT&T or other vendors. But there is now a trick to do it yourself for free.

According to a user called "Cleverboy" (and God is he clever) at macforums.com, all you have to do is:

1- Rename any AAC audio file to M4R then add it to the iTunes library (by double-clicking it)
2- Move it to the ringtones area of iTunes then sync your PC with your iPhone.

Looking to convert MP3's to AAC or other music formats? Check out my vast collection of music and video conversion software for cell phones.
