Poll: Would You Fall For Video Calling On Your Cell Phone?

Monday November 5, 2007
A new breed of cell phones allows video calling, such as the LG TU500, which I am testing these days. The LG TU500 features a swivel camera and a special "video call" button. Assuming the people you are calling have a similar cell phone, you can see them and they can see you while talking. This service is currently available on the Rogers network in Canada and should come soon to the U.S.

So here is my latest poll: Considering that this service incurs additional monthly charges and that your calling parties need to have a compatible phone for it to work, would you go for a video calling cell phone if it was currently offered by your favorite cellular network?

a) No, that's too expensive
b) Yes, I would buy a phone specially to do that
c) Yes, but only if it already came with my cell phone
