I just plugged my beloved iPhone into the charge cradle and was greeted with a notice for a new software update. The iPhone software update 1.1.4 is now available for download and the update is 162.1 MB. The update is still installing to my phone, but the rumors going around have the much awaited iPhone SDK being tied to the 1.1.4 update for the iPhone.

After perusing the Apple site I can’t find a list of exactly what the 1.1.4 update is actually updating. The good news is for iPhone owners is that the update to my phone went off without a hitch. I still can’t figure out what exactly changed. All of the menus, settings and such of the phone are the same. Perhaps it was a security update. Then again if the iPhone SDK essentials were added in the update I guess those might not show up anywhere.
