GetQuick Orders Food from your iPhone

Thursday March 6, 2008

by Shane McGlaun

GetQuick is a company that provides automation systems and technology to restaurants and it announced a new application for the iPhone today called GetQuick for iPhone. The service is currently web-based and allows iPhone users to skip order lines at restaurants and place orders to go directly from their phone.

GetQuick says that after Apple launches its much awaited iPhone SDK it will build a native application that runs directly on the iPhone. GetQuick says it also plans to provide the ability for users to search a restaurant’s menu and save favorite items for easy ordering later.

Once registered iPhone users can access the application at http://iphone/getquick.com/ via the Safari browser on the iPhone. The service currently has 150 participating restaurants in Northern California and there are plans to roll the system out to other US cities this year.
