Solio Magnesium Edition Solar Hybrid Charger

Monday March 24, 2008

I’ll be the first to tell you that it sucks when you are out and your cell phone battery dies. If you are in the car or near an AC outlet things aren’t so bad, you could still use your phone assuming you have a cable with you. However, if you aren’t near a AC or DC outlet things get grim.

That’s where the Solio Magnesium edition hybrid charger comes in. The Solio Magnesium is the most powerful and efficient hybrid solar charger on the market according to the maker. With one hour of sunlight the device can power your cell phone for an additional 25 minutes of use or for 50 minutes playing music.

The max output of the device is 8 watts. The device uses an internal lithium ion battery for power that is able to store the power in the battery for up to one year. The device uses the iGo Tip system that makes it compatible with all sorts of devices from the iPod and iPhone to other smart phones and more. The Solio Magnesium sells for $199.99.
