AT&T announced today that it would be launching a new mobile Tv service in May. The catch for existing AT&T users is that the TV service will only be available on two handsets and 3G appears to be required. That last bit is too bad, it precludes the iPhone form being able to participate… for now.

Rumors of a 3G iPhone coming in June continue to gain momentum. For now the two handsets that will be compatible with the AT&T Mobile TV with FLO service will be the exclusive LG Vu and the Samsung Access.

The new service will launch with some interesting channels including CBS Mobile, Fox Mobile, comedy Central, ESPN Mobile TV, Fox Mobile, MTV, NBC News2Go and Nickelodeon. How much the service will cost hasn’t been announced. Via AT&T
