Is your cell phone desperately in need of retirement? Do you stubbornly refuse because everything that dangles off or just doesn’t work gives your cell phone character that’s representative of your eccentric attitude (or at least that’s what you tell yourself)?

Do you have a picture or story describing why your phone is so lame that it’s actually cool? If so, show and tell! Leave a comment at the bottom of this post with a link to your deadbeat cell phone photo. If you don’t have a photo to show off, respond with your story to best make us feel sorry for you.

Here’s an example from About.com women’s history guide Jone Johnson Lewis:
My husband is still using the one he accidentally dropped in a puddle in front of his Jeep one night, ran over it and found it there the next morning. The only repair needed was a new screen!

I discovered that while a cellphone won’t survive a 40C cycle in a trouser pocket in a washing machine (not really a surprise), a SIM card will still work just fine in a new cell.

I found that the Nokia 6300 has one irrating prob. The speaker is on the flip side of the fone, not on the sides like most others. This means that if the fone is lying face up on a bed or any other soft surface, the ringer / speaker is completely muffled! I have missed quite a few calls bec of this. Now I risk scratching the face cause i keep the fone face downwards just to ensure the inger is loud & clear!
