When is someone going to start a Ph.D. course in using a cell phone? The truth of the matter is that just as Microsoft have done, the mfrs have committed two major sins! They are ‘trying to be too clever by half’ and are fixing things that do not need fixing’ ( or change things which work perfectly for something which is far more complicated to use with the result people cannot get their heads round the new procedure. All the companies are terrified of being beaten by their competitors and feel obliged to introduce new features which are all very clever but defeat the object of the exercise in many cases- which is to satisfy the customer and provide them with an efficient instrument which works reliably and is easy to use.
What on earth happened to the American philosophy of K.I.S.S. (Keep It simple Stupid) and ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.
I was totally dismayed, discouraged and disgusted with my last Nokia (model: ) Apart from the damned thing being so complicated one simply could not see (read) whatever appeared in the window. I gave it my wife and the only time i hear her curse is when she has the damned phone in her hand! To replace it, she bought me an ‘All singing all dancing’ Samsung. anyone want to buy it??? For heavens sake why can’t the mfrs remember that there are people who either want a simple life and do not use any of the clever Gizmos and also that not everyone has good eyesight and neither do they have the ability to keep pace with all crap the mfrs THINK people need. Acell phone shoulbe a cell phone not a damned QC and if one of them ever produces a good basic phone which is reliable and easy to use and easy to see, would someone be kind enough to let me know please?
I began this discussion to discuss public available web proxies:
Which are really anonymous?
Which can be used with facebook, myspace etc, in other words: are fresh ?
Which can you recommend?
Thanks for your help,
Dschibut
P.S.: In my land, the freedom of speech is somehow constrained, please give me a hint, if you have doubts about your recommendation.
I have an old blackberry 8700c, I want to create a home screen icon that takes me directly to the SMS Inbox folder, or to a specific folder from my exchange mailbox, how do I do that?
I found out that pressing alt with the wheel lets me move or delete an existing icon from the homescreen, but how do I add an entirely new one ?
