When buying a cell phone, most of us care most about affordability, selection, quality, trust and customer service. Trying to buy a cell phone online while determining whether those factors are present can be challenging amid a sea of competition.

To assist in that quest, Iíve just published a new list of the best Internet merchants to buy cell phones.

While some people may be turned off from purchasing cell phones online due to a desire to see and touch a device in person, others enjoy the perks of convenience and Web-only discounts when doing so.

Is buying a cell phone online right for you? Consider this list of recommended Internet merchants and decide for yourself.

I purchased my current (annoying) T-Mobile phone and service from Wirefly two years ago and regretted the decision from the get go. Basically the problem was customer service and delivery. (The phone is a seperate issue all together) I hate to be generallizing but the main problem I was dealing with was a communication issue and someone (actually three people) in India who just weren’t able to help me sufficiently. Then it took them longer to send the phone to me then promised. I would consider using the actual carriers site but be hesitant to use a third party again.

ME TOO! I got one from Tiger and one from Overstock, both go through the same supplier – had problems with both – turns out they were Japanese phones with NO U.S. warranty

A lot of prepaid users often lose their phones, and that’s what causes them to choose another carrier even if they were happy with their service. I’d like to offer information and/or the ability for prepaid users to buy used or deeply discounted prepaid handsets. If anyone know of companies that provide such service, can you let me know? Unfortunately, this forum doesn’t allow us to be notified when there are responses, so if you post here (for others benefit), can you please also contact me thru my site.

Thank you!
