While Panasonic wants to make your home phone your cell phone, do you really want to?

The new Link to Cell KX-TH1211 device from Panasonic allows you to do just that using short-range Bluetooth technology.

This means you can place a call on a home cordless phone while actually using your cell phone’s minutes and service. But why?

Perhaps you’d want to save your battery’s cell phone life by using a cordless phone. Perhaps you’d want to place your cell phone in a spot of your home that has strong signal reception while talking in another spot that has weak reception.

How well does Link to Cell actually work? Is it affordable? What are the potential shortfalls? My full review of the new Bluetooth device is in.

When I can use my home phone minutes for my cellphone, then we have a deal.
