Where to Get the iPhone 3G S

From Liane Cassavoy, About.com GuideJune 11, 2009

Is Apple's slick new iPhone 3G S your must-have smartphone? If so, you should be making your plans to purchase one now -- even though it doesn't hit stores until next week.

If you really want to make sure that you get your new iPhone 3G S as soon as possible, you should pre-order your phone now. For all the details on how to do that, read "Where Can I Buy the New iPhone 3G S?"

But before you make your purchase, you should read "How Much Does the New iPhone 3G S Cost?" to find out how much the smartphone will cost. Some existing AT&T customers may be surprised to find out that they have to pay more than the $199/$299 price that's been advertised.

(1) IPhoneNewbie :

Hi – I was wondering if someone could tell me what type of family plans are available for the new iphone. Does each phone require it’s own data plan or is there a shared plan we can purchase? Any help is appreciated!

Hi, IPhoneNewbie – Family plans are available for the iPhone 3G S, but AT&T’s family plans allow users to share voice minutes only. You will have to purchase a separate data plan ($30 per month) for each iPhone. For more information, see: AT&T’s iPhone Voice and Data Plans and iPhone 3G S vs. Palm Pre: Cost Comparison. Hope this helps!
