- Pal Pre Plus: With Palm kicking off its comeback story at CES 2009 with the Palm Pre for Sprint, this year's tech mecca saw the new Palm Pre Plus for Verizon Wireless.
Palm, which announced on Thursday its deal with Verizon Wireless, says the new smartphone will go on sale on Jan. 25, 2010. Pricing hasn't yet been announced.
The Palm Pre Plus doubles the storage capacity of the original Palm Pre from 8 to 16 gigabytes and features inductive (touch) charging and easier navigation.
- Palm Pixi Plus: Along with an upgrade to the Palm Pre, Palm also announced the new Palm Pixi Plus for Verizon Wireless. It'll be released on the same day. The Palm Pixi upgrade adds Wi-Fi and more color choices.

Another trademark of the HTC HD 2 phone is its very large 4.3-inch touch screen.
- LG Lotus Elite: As an upgrade to the LG Lotus, the still-squarish Sprint phone features an external touch screen, GPS, a 2-megapixel camera and dedicated shortcut keys for social networking, email and texting.
The LG Lotus Elite will be available on Jan. 10, 2010 for $99.99 with a two-year Sprint agreement after a $50 mail-in rebate.
- LG Rumor Touch: Very different than the original LG Rumor handset, this high-speed 3G cell phone has a 3-inch touch screen, a 2-megapixel camera, GPS and quick access to social networking links.
A blue model of the LG Rumor Touch will be available in the first quarter of 2010. Its price hasn't yet been announced.
