Bluetooth

Bluetooth has been hyped for years now as a low cost way to link portable devices between each other. But cell phone manufacturers obstinately don't add it to most of their new handsets. Is it catching up or not?

High speed wireless data

|
Most new phones include 1xRTT and other "high speed" technologies and the major cell phone companies now sell PC Card connection cards, but is the speed as high as promised? I doubt. How about you?

Location-based services

Here is another long-hyped technology, which was supposed to determine your position using GPS and send you special offers as you walked near a store or provide tourist information based on your location. Special 911 location services have been developped but how about the commercial offerings?
