What is an operator logo?
When your phone ships, it is programmed to display the logo of the cell phone company (the network operator) you are subscribed to. That logo, thus called "operator logo", appears whenever it detects coverage. On Nokia phones, operator logos measure 72 pixels by 14.
But on some Nokia phones, you can change that logo to whatever you like: a picture of your favorite pet or any other graphic. Operator logos have the same appearance than group graphics except that they include a special code associated with your network operator so that it is displayed only when that network is available.
When being out of coverage or when roaming on another network (in another country, for instance) the operator logo will not appear.
No Siemens phones support personalized operator logos so far, but according to Nokia and other sources, the following Nokia phones do:
Nokia 3210, 3310, 5110, 5130, 6110, 6130, 6150, 6210, 6250, 7110, 8210, 8810, 8850, 8890, 9110, 9110i, 9210
