Review Title: AudioVox 8610 A mistake i think so (by David) - 11/04/2006

Pros: Has a camera
Cons: Brittle as a twig, Do not Buy unless you plan on carrying it around in a metal case all day
Additional Comments: The phone is awesome nothing against the phone. I bought my phone last christmas it was prepaid so i was happy with it for $99 it was simple to use and had above average sound quaility. I finnaly took it somewhere in my pocket (instead of leaving it in the car all day) i had it in my pocket for about 1Hr of walking around, took it out to make a call and WHAM!!! when the Lcd Turned on 3/4 of the screen was odly colured so you could not read it anymore so i phoned Virgin Mobile and they were so fast to put the blaim on me i they took it so personali was waiting for them to say i threw it off the empire state building. So no luck with that i realized i was S@

Pros: GREAT signal with virgin mobile, SUPER LONG BATTERY LIFE(up to 11 days personally)
Cons: Somewhat crappy speakerphone, Ringtone volume sucks(Read comments)
Additional Comments: Somewhat crappy speakerphone,Ringtone volume is HORRIBLE!(Loud ringtone and loudest volume vibrate,And i dont hear it 90% of the time in my thin pocket, I do feel the vibration 70% of the time though) I have gotten signal in the GW/JEFF nat forest in VA around Montebello,Charlottlesville,Staunton,Harrisonburg,and driving south of Buenavista(i think) on the blue ridge parkway, About 10 miles south of I64 on the blue ridge parkway i received a call from grandmother, It wasnt the best of signal, But it was clear.. But then again i didnt stick around long on the phone because it was my first time cliff-side on a road,Extremly freaked out. Iv also been to ocracoke island NC, Hatteras NC, Buxton NC,and corolla NC.. All have amazingly received enough signal to make a call, Only once did it drop out in OBX. I have the stock antenna with no external antenna. I live around the Hampton Roads area of virginia(Virginia beach, Norfolk etc) and i get pretty good signal, It says "Searching system" When it goes out of range, And this rarely happens, It has happend once in the OBX, Once in Whaleysville(Not sure about spelling), Suffolk, Virginia, Once at outerbanks, And once in a Sams Club in newport news
