Pros: loud ringtones, plenty of different ring settings [silent, vibrate, etc], display is nice
Cons: camera sucks, in vibrate mode the vibration lasts about 5 seconds.. and its a LOUD vibration, when in complete silent mode you cannot hear the person on the other end - they cant hear you either
Additional Comments: this phone is overall an okay phone. calls and texts are easy to make. a couple of things i hate about this phone though, is the vibration.. its really loud and lasts a long time - not good for people in school. never put this phone on your pillow while you sleep because if you receive a call or text, it'll wake you up with a REALLY bright flashing light that will practically blind you. overall its a good phone though. enjoy

  • Review Title: Horrible Phone (by Kelly Ray) - 04/01/2006

    Pros: Compact size
Cons: Low speaker volume, low ring tones, more dropped calls than not, very bad longevity (only worked properly for about 6 months)
Additional Comments: I have owned a cell phone since 1991 and have had numerous phones. This is by far the worst phone I have ever owned. Although it has been well cared for it now does not ring (only vibrates). Speakerphone no longer works. both speakerphone and ringer stopped working after approx. 6 months. In addition, I drop at least every other call. It is the LAST Audiovox I will EVER purchase.

Pros: nice size, good reception, easy to use
Cons: Both LCD screens going blank. Common problem apparently
Additional Comments: Seemed to be a decent enough phone for the price, until internal display went blank, followed by the outside display going blank. Shopped for same phone on Ebay & discovered many 8900 for sale with SAME defect! Ringer and speaker also went out a few weeks after the LCDs
