Pros: Slide out keyboard makes for fast sms, good signal strength
Cons: Slide out keyboard slides out way too easily, limited memory for downloaded games and ringtones, limited menu access when keyboard is out, the keys are too flat, no speakerphone, no bluetooth
Additional Comments: This is the worst phone ive ever purchased. This phone can only be descibed as limited. Very large, chunky and tiring to hold onto during a call. I wouldnt recommend this phone to my worst enemy. Its that bad.

Pros: Nice keyboard, easy text messaging, easy to input contact info, very clear ear speaker, sharp display, great reception
Cons: Keyboard comes out too easily, zero key on the keypad is hard to push, keyboard doesn't work for all functions.
Additional Comments: I like the overall features and ease of use on this phone. My wife has a RAZR and this phone, feature wise is much better. The slide out keyboard is a bit sloppy; it would have been nice to have a solid latch to hold it in place, and as a previous reviewer stated, it would be nice if the keyboard could be used on all functions. It is also on the thick side so it is a bit uncomfortable in my back pocket. Sound and reception quality is fantastic. The ear speaker is very clear even in noisy areas. I have also gotten better reception in troubled areas with this phone than my two previous phones. Overall for the price, this is a very nice phone; very comfortable to use.

Review Title: Meh (by Icebreed) - 12/13/2005
Ratings for the following topics:
- Sound Quality
- Ringtone Volume
- Strength of Signal Reception
- Keypad

Pros: Easy text/IMing, Decent display
Cons: Ring speaker too quiet, Buttons too small, Poor documentation, Short battery life
Additional Comments: This is the first cell I ever owned, and I'm a bit disappointed for the price I paid. It is obviously designed for heavy text and IM messaging, and for the most part, it does that well. However, I have to sit it a certain way in my holster to hear it ring and even then I usually don't catch it until the third ring or so. As a computer pro, I tried to get customized sounds and graphics onto the phone. The phone would play polyphonics, voice, and music tones, but for whatever reason, would only allow polyphonics to be used for ringtones. Getting a graphic on it was a bit easier. There is an utter lack of information out there about what kinds of sounds and media it will accept, however, and this was a source of great irritation for me. The short battery life, combined with buttons that aren't quite flush with the face, makes it drain batteries fast when in a holster, as it keeps pressing buttons to keep the display on (even when the keys are locked). When I played a game on it ... the battery drained in about half an hour. The slider also comes open with the slightest of bumps.

Review Title: LG F9100 Recall (by kilovan3078) - 11/22/2005
Ratings for the following topics:

Pros: It is easy to send text messages when it works, it also looks cool
Cons: you can't hear very well even with the volume on high, and it only works half of the time
Additional Comments: I switched from the t-mobile sidekick to the LG F9100 because my wife and her family have cingular, and this was the best text messaging phone they had that didnt look like a PDA. For the first 3 months it worked alright, but this is my fourth month with the phone and now i will be in the center of the city and it wont recieve or send a text message or a call. When you try and do anything with it a sign pops up and says emergancy only. At first i thought that this was a setting i needed to turn off. I went to the local cingular store 3 times and on the last trip in the guy there looked at it and said oh that's a "crapper phone" it was recalled almost the same time that we had put them out. So far this is the worst phone I've ever had. I started off with the old bag phone, moved my way from Nokia to samsung and t-mobile. This is my 8th phone and it is the by far the worst I've delt with. My wife's free phone that she picked up is even better than this one. Oh and for the life of me i cant get it to download my ringtone. the ringtone is in the correct location waiting to be downloaded, but everytime i tell it to start the download it gives me an error message. This was all done less than 5 blocks from the cingular store that i bought it from.
