Pros: Great feature set (especially for such a rugged phone), bright display, excellent sound
Cons: none so far
Additional Comments: I've had several phones from nextel/boost and this is by FAR the best one yet. My previous phone was the i855 and after a couple of drops from my belt, the front display went out. I decided I needed something that could withstand my clumsiness but there wasn't any rugged phone out with the features of the i855 until the i580 came out. It blows away the i855 in all respects. I added the max battery and although it made the phone a little bigger, the battery life increased by at least 30%. If you don't mind a little bit of a bulky clam shell and a little bit of a price tag, this phone is GREAT. The sound quality is unbelievable and the added bluetooth isn't too shabby either.

Additional Comments: My phones always look like garbage after i have owned them for more than a week because i drop them so much but i can seriously laugh at the phone and myself now when i drop it because it literaly bounces and nothing happens too it.

Pros: it works and doesn't drop calls
Additional Comments: I also carry an altell serviced nokia 6150 which I hate but have to carry becauce of the ubiquity of service across north dakota. Nextell and the i580 are far superior in call quality. My customers can actually hear me speak now. I can count on one hand the calls I have dropped in the last two months with the i580. I can also count on one hand the calls that I have been able to complete without being dropped by the Altell phone. Altell was OK until that stupid "my circle" program started. Then the service went down markedly. The voice mail alerts stopped working even after two voice mail box re-constructions by altell tecch support. if you live in a large city and do not travel in rural areas Nextell is far superior to Altell
