Pros: slim, good sound and display quality, nice features
Cons: no camera, kind of sluggish, have to buy software and expensive accessories, most ringtones are crappy
Additional Comments: It's a nice phone but some features that don't need to be there are there. Yet some things that need to be there are nonexistant.

  • Review Title: Motorola L2: worst phone I've ever had (by michael) - 12/10/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display
  • - Selection of Features

Cons: cluttered menu tree, awkward controls. HORRIBLE sound in noisy areas
Additional Comments: This phone is completely unusable if there is any background noise whatsoever. The phone's mouthpiece microphone pipes what you are saying (and any background noise) back through the earpiece speaker. Nice design, thanks. I don't need the phone to blare back my own voice at me while I'm talking. I live in the city, so traffic noise makes this phone pretty much unusable anywhere outside. No wonder Cingular was giving them away for free.

  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad

Pros: great sound, great ringtones, supprisingly good display, very user friendly, love the weight
Cons: sometimes turns off when keys are locked, but not a big issue
Additional Comments: I used to use Nokia and switched to Motorola. I chose this phone for the slim style and the easability I have come to know in love in Motorola phones. I have been amazingly surprised how much I enjoy this phone. If you don't want iTunes or camera (which I didn't...I have a camera and iPod) then this is a great phone for the price with the style of a Slvr.
