  • Review Title: Absolutley outstanding piece. (by Stacey Saren) - 08/18/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad

Pros: Available multiple email accounts, just an outstanding feature!!!!!
Cons: Battery kife could be better, "Normal" profile volume too low.
Additional Comments: I've had Palms, Pocket PC's, and Blackberries among other standard clam or flip phones. The Motorola Q is the first instrument that allows me to send and receive email and text messages not only for my corporate email but my four other personal email accounts as well, genius!

  • Review Title: Overall good choice (by jlc) - 08/17/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display
  • - Selection of Features
  • - Text Messaging
  • - Camera

Pros: windows media, internet capabilities, messaging, display good
Cons: low battery life, cannot download ringtones from provider- that is the biggest downfall
Additional Comments: It would be nice if verizon would offer get it now on the motorola q. I am not sure who is to blame for that one. You can use wav or mp3's as ringtones but it starts at the beginning of the song so you need some other way to 'chop' the songs to get them the way you want them. I like everything else about the phone it is very functional and the screen in nice. The camera is good, not the best I have seen but good. If you are new to pda or smartphones it is a good starting point. Phone first and pda second that is important.

  • Review Title: Rick's Marvelous Q - Fantastic phone (by Rick Brash) - 07/30/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display
  • - Selection of Features
  • - Text Messaging
  • - Camera

Cons: dial pad numbers far too small, keyboard much too sensitive, thumbwheel too stiff
Additional Comments: The phone is fantastic, does all I need it to. It needs to be made a tad bigger in the next generation. The theory is fantastic, and I like the small form factor, it's just a hair TOO small...
