Review Title: I am not pleased with reception (by benkinjen) - 12/30/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display
  • - Selection of Features
  • - Text Messaging

Pros: nice features, nice to hold, nice looking
Cons: the reception is very very poor
Additional Comments: I am a Municipal Police Officer and I use a cell phone as my main way of contact for residents and the RCMP. I have it connected in the vehicle to an external antenna, but when it is not connected to this antenna the reception is very very poor. I just upgraded from a samsung phone for this new 10-4 phone but for reception it is not even close to the samsung. My question to you is, can I get or do something to rectify this problem? If not, I have to bring it back for another phone which can connect to an external antenna. Please advise. Thanks

  • Review Title: Tough phone - very dependable! (by Dan) - 12/19/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display
  • - Selection of Features
  • - Text Messaging

Pros: Excellent speakerphone quality,Front LCD,Rugged design
Cons: full battery reading can be misleading
Additional Comments: This phone has been dropped, kicked torn to pieces figuratively... and still functions well. Idropped it 1/4 inch of water once and didn't realize it till an hour later. I lost my front LCD display but everything else still worked. The phone is actually broken now due to my abuse (one of the hinges is broken) but dangit it still works! The rubberized casing has surely kept this phone from an early demise.
