  • Review Title: W810 the new wave? (by Luis) - 05/28/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display

Pros: walkman, radio, upgradeable duo memory, beautiful display, fast internet browser, edge capable
Cons: low maximum volume, keypad a little crammed, walkman but to easy to hit
Additional Comments: I was a W600i fanatic, and was really excited to get this one since it had expandable memory. It is great and i love it, camera is nice, memory is nice, and the screen is awesome. But it is no where near as loud as the w600i. That and the walkman buttone being to prominant and easy to hit are my only complaints. Very solid phone, great buy, i hope it gets picked up by cingular as that is my carrier.

  • Review Title: W810i- great device!! (by laine3) - 05/21/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad

Pros: Expandable 2Gb Mp3 player! Fantastic display and image resolution!
Cons: Severe issue with dropped calls due to non-compatability with US networks
Additional Comments: Sony Ericsson has decided to issue a software update that changes the operating system- hopefully this will fix the dropped call issue, as this is the only problem with the phone. Davinici.com had issued a flash update months ago though

Pros: great display, awesome features, brilliant design
Additional Comments: After a long line of Nokia products ive made the jump to Sony Ericsson's W810i. The navigation was picked up within a half an hour and the features absolutely blew me away. Its actually got more features than ill need for intermediate use. The speaker, display, navigation, case design and camera are all exceptional although i havent had it long enough yet to get a feel for its battery life, bluetooth capabilites or radio etc. Its also designed to use purely as a walkman, handy for aircraft travel. Im absolutely impressed by the overall package.
