Review Title: I love it... but I'm a geek (by Lisha) - 12/25/2006

    Ratings for the following topics:
  • - Sound Quality
  • - Speakerphone
  • - Ringtone Volume
  • - Strength of Signal Reception
  • - Keypad
  • - Display
  • - Selection of Features
  • - Text Messaging
  • - Camera

Pros: qwerty keyboard, video camera, clear pictures, email, Wi-Fi, Yahoo Messenger, windows media player, can purchase SD card
Cons: Ringtones, ringtone volume, case that comes with it
Additional Comments: I think the phone is awesome. It has all of the features I needed and a qwerty keypad. The ringtone volume is very low. You can purchase a separate software from TMobile to work with media player to create ringtones. An aftermarket case from Ebay was perfect. It is made for the dash with a plastic cover over the screen and keypad with openings for all of the features and a removable belt clip.

Pros: compact, easy to use, nice screen, great programs,
Cons: battery life could be better,
Additional Comments: All in all, I love the phone, still getting used to it. Very easy to use, email set up was simple, active sync with PC is also simple, camera feature is great, as is the video. I recommend buying a memory card for extra storage. (1GB is more than enough)

  • Review Title: T-Mobile Dash Review (by Ron Kinkade) - 12/20/2006

  • - Sound Quality

  • - Keypad

Pros: Great variety of features, excellent display, simple menus, great sound, easy set up
Cons: ring volume kind of low even when maxed out
Additional Comments: Other than the issue of the ring volume being kind of low, this is a great phone. The setup for email accounts and the my faves plan was incredibly easy. I have a personal account and a corporate account for email and the phone has no problem receiving messages. The phone itself sounds great on calls, very crisp clean reception. I haven't had any signal problems as of yet and I live in an area that typically receives a weak signal. The size is perfect and keypad easy to use, great menu layout also with the Windows Mobile software. The only other issue I ran into was for the volume buttons, they are located in a place where you can accidentally press them when holding the phone, but they have a sensitivity control which fixed that for me. The sound is also great and I ordered a 1GB memory card today for about $40 that will allow me to load a ton of .mp3 files on the phone, so it's going to replace my current player also. Overall, the best phone I have purchased and great value for the price compared to others.
