The following technical LG U8360 review is based on a computer algorithm, it is in no way a hands-on review. It takes an in-depth look at its good and not-as-good features so you can make a well-informed decision.
The Good:
- Technology: The LG U8360 works with global frequencies of the GSM standard, a convenient feature for overseas travelers. (Note that additional roaming charges from your home carrier generally apply) (score: 7/7)
- Stand-by Time: 221 hours of stand-by time. It is quite good! (score: 16/20)
- Phone Book: It can store a variable number of phone book entries. This is normally the case of phones with a dynamic memory and, it usually allows for a lot of phone numbers to be stored. (score: 20/20)
- Memory Expansion Slot: It has a memory expansion slot TransFlash, a useful way to store more music and pictures or transfer them from and to your laptop computer. (score: 10/10)
- Wireless Data System: Bluetooth-enabled, which is an interesting plus. Bluetooth is not really necessary but may be handy if you want to use a wireless headset or transfer data to or from your (Bluetooth-enabled) laptop, for instance. (score: 7/7)
The Average:
- Camera: 1.3 megapixel camera built-in the LG U8360 is considered a quite good camera. (score: 7/10)
The Not-So-Good:
- Weight: 4.65 ounces of weight is a little bit above average. You may find that phone slightly too big. (score: 4/20)
- Talk Time: 180 minutes of talking time. I've seen better. (score: 8/20)
- Speakerphone: It does not seem to have a speakerphone, which could be useful in some situations. (Find phones with a speakerphone) (score: 0/10)
Overall Score: 83
