The Motorola i730

This technical Motorola i730 review is based on a computer algorithm, it doesn't constitute a live hands-on review. It pinpoints its strengths and weaknesses to help you make a good decision.

The Good:

  1. Phone Book: It can store up to 600 phone book entries, which is quite good! (score: 20/20)
  2. Speakerphone: It has a speakerphone, which can prove useful in a car or in other situations. (score: 10/10)
  3. Wireless Data System: Bluetooth-enabled, which is an interesting plus. Bluetooth is not really necessary but may be handy if you want to use a wireless headset or transfer data to or from your (Bluetooth-enabled) laptop, for instance. (score: 7/7)
  4. Push-to-Talk (PTT): The Motorola i730 supports Push-to-talk (PTT), a technology that allows you to instantly talk to other people owning a PTT phone on the same network, just by the push of a button, as with a walkie-talkie. (score: 7/7)

The Average:

  1. Talk Time: 200 minutes of talking time. It is about average. (score: 12/20)

The Not-So-Good:

  1. Weight: 5.29 ounces of the Motorola i730 is a lot of weight. Whether you carry it in your pants pocket or a purse, you could find it heavy. (score: 0/20)
  2. Stand-by Time: A stand-by time of 70 hours. Not quite sufficient for most users, in my opinion. (score: 4/20)

Overall Score: 60
