Nokia n75

The Nokia n75

The following technical Nokia n75 review is based on an algorithm that takes a close look at a phone's specifications, it is not based on a hands-on review. It takes an in-depth look at its strong and weak points so you can make a well-informed decision.

The Good:

  1. Technology: The Nokia n75 is compatible with worldwide frequencies of the GSM standard , a convenient feature for overseas travelers. (Roaming fees from your home carrier generally apply) (score: 7/7)
  2. Phone Book: It can store a variable number of phone book entries. This is usually the case of phones with a dynamic memory and, it normally allows for a lot of phone numbers to be stored. (score: 20/20)
  3. Memory Expansion Slot: It features a memory expansion slot MicroSD, a useful way to store more music and pictures or transfer them from and to your laptop computer. (score: 10/10)
  4. Speakerphone: It has a speakerphone, which will prove useful in a car or in other situations. (score: 10/10)
  5. Streaming TV: Streaming Video or TV. Streaming TV, provided your carrier offers it, allows you to watch real live TV on your cell phone. It involves additional fees but can help kill time in queues, doctor waiting rooms or many other situations. (score: 5/5)
  6. Wireless Data System: Bluetooth-enabled, which is an interesting plus. Bluetooth is not really necessary but may be handy if you want to use a wireless headset or transfer data to or from your (Bluetooth-enabled) laptop, for instance. (score: 7/7)
  7. Push-to-Talk (PTT): The Nokia n75 supports Push-to-talk (PTT), a technology that allows you to instantly talk to other people owning a PTT phone on the same network, just by the push of a button, as with a walkie-talkie. (score: 7/7)

The Average:

  1. Camera: megapixel camera built-in the Nokia n75 is considered a quite good camera. (score: 7/10)

The Not-So-Good:

  1. Weight: 4.35 ounces of weight is slithtly above average. You could find the Nokia n75 a bit bulky. (score: 4/20)
  2. Talk Time: yes minutes of talking time. Not quite sufficient for most users, in my opinion. (Find phones with more battery life) (score: 4/20)
  3. Stand-by Time: A stand-by time of yes hours. Not quite sufficient for most users, in my opinion. (score: 4/20)

Overall Score: 89
