Question: How do I convert Nokia ringtones to my phone's format?

Answer: There is a certain number of ringtone converters available on the web, either for a fee or free of charge. Uniring, the free Universal Ringtone Converter available on this site, allows you to convert any Nokia ringtone to one of more than 14 other formats including well known brands such as Samsung, Ericsson, Siemens, Motorola and more.

In most cases, Uniring's output will be presented in the form of "keypress sequences." These keypress sequence represent the actual numbers that you must press on your phone's melody composer in order to obtain the melody, not what you will actually see on your phone as you press these keys. In some cases, you can also use its built-in feature to send the ringtone to your phone if you use some of Motorola and Nokia phones. Again, this service is free of charge.

If you want to compose your own ringtone then convert it to your phone's format, you can use Nokring, a freeware program widely available on the Internet, then use the output RTTTL format ringtone produced by Nokring and put it in Uniring for conversion.
