With all the rage today for touch screen cell phones (as popularized by the all-powerful iPhone 3G), the next best thing for a cell phone to do when it doesn’t have one internally is to feature a touch-sensitive external display.

Just as the upgraded Motorola RAZR2 V9x has one, so does the Motorola Rapture VU30 for Verizon Wireless. But the Rapture goes a step further with its “vanishing” external display that lights up for instant-gratification access to music and photos.
While only packing a 2-megapixel camera, the Rapture has enhanced its imaging with smooth zooming and other features to produce an experience similar to a digital camera.
