Guide Review - Sanyo M1 Review
The 2-megapixel camera with auto-focus provides better than average pictures and transfering them to your computer is a breeze with the included USB cable. Especially that the USB cable also recharges the M1's battery, so you can keep it hooked for hours. Activate the "call screening" feature and your calling parties can hear a message asking "Who is calling?" and then leave their name, letting you choose to answer or not. However, their messages get recorded in the phone's memory and eventually fill it up. Plus, the phone does not play their name out loud, making it more or less useful. Sound quality is very good, at any volume and so is the speakerphone, with a dedicated speakerphone key, a Sanyo trademark.
MP3, movies, pictures and more can be easily uploaded to the phone but Sprint seems to have blocked uploaded MP3's from being used as a ringtone, you will have to use their paid service. Note that the 1GB of memory is only for photos and content uploaded from your computer. Paid-for content is treated separately and limited to 40MB.
