Choosing custom ringtones for some of your contacts will let you know who is calling without having to look at your phone every time it rings.
To set a custom ringtone:
- Choose the contact you would like to update from your BlackBerry's Contacts. The contact must have a telephone number associated with it.
- Click the Menu button and choose Edit.
- Scroll down to the Custom Ring Tones/Alerts section, and click on Phone.
- Click on the Ring Tone drop-down menu and choose a tone.
- Save the changes.
The next time that person calls you from any of the phone numbers associated with their contact in your BlackBerry, you will hear the new ringtone you have designated for them.
