Question: What is the Best Android App?

Update: Winners of the 2010 Reader's Choice Awards have been announced. Find out which products emerged victorious.

Android-based smartphones are becoming more popular every day. And as the selection of Android-based handsets grows, so does the number of apps available in the Android Market. But which Android app is the best of the bunch?

We want to hear from you, the About.com readers: Which Android app is your favorite?

We're accepting nominations from January 1, 2010 through January 24, 2010. Voting will take place in February, and The Reader's Choice winner will be announced March 1.

Answer:

The best Android app is the one that you use every day, the one that you can't do without. It could be free, or it could be a paid app -- one that's worth every penny you spent on it. It could be a game, or a productivity tool, or a Web utility. It could be anything. Just tell us which one you like, and why.

How to Nominate:

Between January 1 and January 24, 2010 use the form below to nominate your favorite product in this category. For the subject, give the name of the smartphone or app you wish to nominate. Then include a short description of why this product deserves to be nominated. 50 character minimum. Do not hesitate to nominate phones or apps that have already been nominated by others. Multiple nominations increase the chances that your choice will make it into the finalists for voting.

Don't assume that just because you don't submit one of the well-known products in this category that your choice doesn't stand a chance. Your nomination may help spread the word about a lesser-known smartphone or app.
