The annual South by Southwest Interactive Festival has wrapped up in Austin, Texas. But many people are still buzzing about the mobile apps highlighted at this year's show. Here are four apps that garnered plenty of attention at this year's festival.

Foursquare made its debut at last year's SXSWi, but remained one of the most talked-about apps at this year's show. This geo-location service uses your phone's built-in GPS to track your whereabouts, and lets you "check in" at various locations. You can broadcast your location to friends and can earn rewards (in the form of badges) by checking in at locations frequently.

Foursquare is available for the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and Palm platforms. For more information on Foursquare, read this detailed explanation of how Foursquare works on the iPhone.
