The iPhone has its strengths, to be sure. Unfortunately, productivity software is not the iPhone's strong point. Apple's smartphone does not come with any applications designed to let you create, view, or edit word processing documents or spreadsheets.

You do have options, though. You could install a third-party software application on your iPhone, but this can be a challenging, time-consuming process. If you only need to view files--not edit or create them--you don't need to go through the hassle of adding software. You can use Zoho, a completely Web-based suite of productivity applications.

Zoho's word processor, spreadsheet, database application, and presentation tool are available in a mobile version called iZoho, which allows you to use the iPhone's excellent Safari Web browser to view your files.

Here's a step-by-step tutorial that shows you how to use Zoho on your iPhone.

Let's Get Started: Yes, we are starting this task on your computer. Navigate to Zoho's website and sign in or sign up for an account. Click the "Zoho Writer" link on the left side of screen to open the online word processor. It's time to move on to step two.
